Orlando Bloom Wants to Return to Lord of the Rings, Isn't Sure How: 'I Guess With AI You Can Do Anything'

Orlando Bloom says he would happily return to Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. There's just one problem: elves don't age."I don’t know how they’d do it," Bloom admitted in an interview with Variety. Ian McKellan said that his character, Gandalf, will potentially feature in future films, and that Warner Bros. hopes that he will play the iconic wizard."When? I don’t know. What the script is? Viggo Mortensen is also open to returning as Aragorn.As for Bloom, he says that he really doesn't know what director Andy Serkis has planned for the new film. "I did speak to Andy [Serkis] and he did say they were thinking about how to do things. I was like, ‘How would that even work?’ And he was like, ‘Well, AI!’ and I was like, ‘Oh, OK!’ It was a pretty magical time in my life, and it’s one of those things where there’s not a downside to it.”
